Forest School Day Six children and their Independent Visitor’s took part in a Forest School activity funded by STAR and provided by Kaye from Holly & Hawthorn.  This took place at the Somerset Earth Science Centre and the group learnt how to build their own campfire, which they used to.

Several groups of looked after children had some new experiences during the summer holidays

with thanks to support from   STAR and facilitated by Route1.

  Chocolatier session Seven children and their Independent Visitor’s took part in a Chocolatier workshop kindly provided free of charge by Jane Swayne (Gilbert&Swayne). The children learnt about different.

What has sport done for me ? Primarily, I have always continued with a variety of sports for the enjoyment. I believe sport can bring a smile to the face of anyone of any age simply because of its exciting and dynamic nature. Sport allows anyone the chance to take part and just enjoy participating in.

STAR supported a Scout sleep over at the science museum . Scouting is a remarkable movement that brings amazing benefits and enjoyment to everyone involved – children, leaders, parents and everyone involved with the running of the group. Through adventure,  scouts develop team-work skills, friendships, confidence, independence, responsibility and a ‘can do’ attitude to help prepare them.
