Several groups of looked after children had some new experiences during the summer holidays
with thanks to support from STAR and facilitated by Route1.
Seven children and their Independent Visitor’s took part in a Chocolatier workshop kindly provided free of charge by Jane Swayne (Gilbert&Swayne).
The children learnt about different types of chocolate, took part in an activity where they learnt about the value and importance of Fair trade and made their own chocolates and chocolate lollies. This was a wonderful day which was enjoyed by all:
An independent visitor commented, “Jane was so generous with her time and resources” One child said “I really enjoyed it, I’d like to do it again” Another child said “It was really good fun”… “The lollies were yummy”😊
