A Midsummer Night’s Dream – William Shakespeare

“A Midsummer Night’s Dream was a great play and there were many things we enjoyed about it. The atmosphere was astounding with the different colours of lighting and the wing statue they’d brought in from the Bishop’s Palace, and obviously the moon made it more surreal. The costumes were nicely made and suited each character well. I feel like Titania’s white suit with leaf like feathers on the sleeves really showed the power she has as ruler of the fairies. The casting was great and each person suited their character. Originally Lysander was a male but they had casted a woman instead which I feel makes more sense on why Hermia’s father wanted her to marry Demetrius and not Lysander. I also love the LGBTQ+ representation.”
