My mentee and I saw Animal Farm at the Theatre Royal

I think it is safe to say that Emma really enjoyed it and this is a great example of how Star funding has enriched the life of one of our mentees, enabling her to have an experience that she would never have had without

My mentee and I saw Animal Farm at the Theatre Royal , Bath . We've read the book together since it's part of the GCSE syllabus.  Here's what my mentee said.

"The play was amazing. As soon as the play started I was hooked. The puppets were so detailed and life like, even when the puppets weren’t speaking they were still moved to look like they were breathing. My favourites had to be Clover the cow and Boxer the horse, who was so large he had to have three people moving him. Whilst the story diverged a little from the original story it was still as good as the book. The chase scenes with Snowball and the dogs, and when the farmers invaded were very intense. At the end of the show, a few years after the rebellion, Clover was talking to her calf and she couldn’t remember if they’d even had a rebellion and it really showed how nothing changed on the farm, maybe even got worse since Napoleon had taken lead as head of the farm."
